White Paper – Assignment #4

For this assignment, you will now evaluate possible solutions and recommend a potential course of action for your client. As we have learned, white papers are written to help their readers understand a potential problem, learn about new innovations, or receive background on unexplored opportunities. With the information provided, targeted readers are better able to decide the next steps.

Prosed Solutions:
Identify 2 to 3 attainable, research-driven solutions or approaches that your client can use to either address the problem you found or the opportunity you believe they are missing. Each solution or opportunity must connect clearly to the problem or opportunity you have been focusing on in Assignment #1, Assignment #2, and Assignment #3.

For each solution or opportunity, create a subsection with a clear heading and include the following:

  • A concise description in you your own words
  • Evidence from at least one credible source demonstrating why the solution or opportunity would be effective, what limitations exist, or potential outcomes
  • An analysis of the advantages and disadvantages for your client
  • A clear discussion of the stakeholder responses which should include if they would support it, if they would have concerns, or if they might resist the suggested solution or potential opportunity
Remember – Your analysis needs to go beyond a simple summary. Be sure to include how each will fit your client’s goals, resources, and organization.

Final Recommendations:
Select 1 primary solution or opportunity you will recommend to your client. You will use your primary solution or opportunity as the foundation for the recommendation section.

Present 2 -4 concrete and actionable recommendation. These recommendations should be the next steps your client should take based on your chosen solution or opportunity.

Create a separate subject for each recommendation and clearly explain:
  • What actions should be taken
  • Who should be responsible for implementing the action
  • A realistic timeline for implementation
  • The necessary resources to implement the solutions such as staffing, training, funding, technology, or other materials
  • The expected impact of the recommendation
Remember – write your recommendations clearly so that individuals in busy, high-demand industries can both understand but easily and quickly take action based on your recommendations
