Discussion #3 – Completing Your Presentation Aids

As part of your upcoming Online Informative Presentation, you are required to create a draft of your presentation aid. This draft should be developed using Microsoft PowerPoint, Prezi, Google Slides, Adobe Express, or another presentation software of your choice (please let me know if you’re using a different tool). In this discussion, you will share your draft and provide feedback on one of your peers’ presentations.
What must be included in this discussion:

  • Embedded Visual Aids:
    • Relevant to the content in your informative speech
    • Enhance your main talking points and support your message effectively
    • Include 2 types of visuals such as:
      • Pictures (photographs or drawings)
      • Diagrams
      • Video or audio recording (no more than 1 minute long)
      • Charts
      • Graphs
      • Tables
      • Decision Table
  • Main Talking Points:
    • Key points you will cover in your informative presentation
    • Slides should not be text-heavy
      • Bullet points
      • Concise phrases
  • Color Scheme:
    • Share the colors you plan to use in your final draft
    • Discuss how your color choices will:
      • Help convey your message
      • Maintain visual appeal
  • Introduction: Sets the stage for your presentation

  • Conclusion:
    • Wrap up your message
    • Reinforce your key points
  • Refences:
    • List any sources or materials you have used/will use in your presentation (including images)
    • Use APA citation style for all references
