In this step, you will choose one concept to focus on and deepen your research. You will also begin thinking about how each source fits into the rhetorical styles you will use in the final paper.
Prompt:
- Out of the three topics you proposed in Assignment #1, select one of the topics
- Provide an updated definition for your topic
- Write a fuller definition (4 to 6 sentences) using what you have learned from your additional reading and sources
- Be sure to clarify key terms
- Find and annotate three (3) additional peer-reviewed sources on your selected topic
- You will now have four (4) sources total for your final essay and presentation
- For each source, write an annotation of 4 – 6 sentences
- You must also analyze each source in addition to the annotation. For each source, briefly discuss (in 2 – 3 sentences):
- Strengths: Consider the credibility, clarity, depth, recentness, and methods of the selected source
- Weakness: Provide the limits, lack of clarity, any issues of focus or scope, and potential outdated information in the selected source
Your Submission Needs to Include:
- APA Title Page (be sure to include all group members as authors)
- Your final concept selection
- An expanded working definition for your concept
- Three (3) additional academic sources for your selected topic shared using APA citation style
- An annotation for each of the three (3) selected source
- The strengths and weaknesses of each source
